How to network the right way

Networking

True networking occurs when there’s an understanding that everyone in the room has equal  value. In its purest form, it’s about people enjoying other people, communicating passions and connecting with others who share those passions. It’s about listening, figuring out what others need and connecting them with people you think can help, without any designs for personal gain. The most successful networkers build genuine relationships and give more than they receive. They go beyond thinking, “What’s in it for me?” to ask “How can I help?”

3 Ways To Effectively Outsource Sales To Win New Clients For Your Business

I found this interesting article by People per Hour, proving that hiring a Virtual Assistant is beneficial to you and your business – http://blog.peopleperhour.com/3-ways-to-effectively-outsource-sales-to-win-new-clients-for-your-business?utm_source=PCN&utm_campaign=2882&utm_medium=email&utm_content=GBP&ref=email

Become more efficient

Small-business owners often struggle to fulfil all their duties but are wary of taking on a partner or hiring a management team because they want to maintain the integrity of their vision or stay in complete control. If that sounds like you, you can bring your business to the next level without too much compromise or cost by hiring a virtual assistant.

Be more organised this year.

The start of 2015 can leave us filled with New Year’s resolutions and some clear objectives of the upcoming 12 months.  As we are now nearly into March, have you fulfilled your resolution about becoming more productive?  The first step is to get organised, both in your work and private life.  Now is the time to get your own VA to help you achieve this goal.

Christmas is around the corner…

With Christmas fast approaching, there are lots of things to organise. Are you suitably organised in your business too? Is your to do list growing with each day? Why not think about getting a Virtual Assistant to help you over this busy period. I am offering a special rate leading up to Christmas. Your VA can help in both your business and personal life.

Tip – handle things once..

A great way to save time during your working day is to start a “handle things once” policy. This means you don’t open things such as emails, letters or voicemails without resolving them – either replying, filing or binning. Don’t let clutter build up in your inbox which you’ll just have to return to and spend more time sorting out later.

Missed important telephone calls?

One of my clients uses a great service – when someone rings his mobile phone and leaves a voicemail, it immediately gets transcribed and emailed to him.  Being his VA and having access to his emails I can then flag these messages and respond on his behalf as he is rushing between meetings.  Has anyone else tried this service?

More useful tips

I have borrowed some time saving tips from Jonathan Weinstock – Entrepreneurial Growth Mentor, they may seem obvious, but useful all the same:

Park great ideas which are ‘non-core’ in an ‘ideas’ email folder. Write it down get it off your chest, file it and park it.

Park emails which can be addressed later in a ‘to do’ email folder.

If you don’t get back to key people within 24 hours, you are overcommitted and need to delegate more.

Use your alarm during the day to remind you when to leave for meetings and for end times for meetings.

Save files to desktop so you can access them quickly. File them later.
